Overview
This product allows you to back up user data stored on a Windows computer.
When used, the Real-time Backup Utility software will perform automatic
backup of data stored on internal drives to this card every time data is
updated.
Installing the Supplied Software
The software supplied with this card, Real-time Backup Utility, is stored
on the card.
System requirements
A computer that meets the following conditions is required to run the
supplied software.

OS Windows XP SP3 or later ˎ
Windows Vista SP2 or later ˎ
Windows 7 SP1 or later ˎ
Windows 8 ˎ
CPU Pentium 1 GHz or more
Memory 512 MB or more
HDD capacity
20 MB or more to install the supplied software.
Up to 1 GB working space.
Tip
The following space are also required if .NET
Framework 4 or later is not installed.
For 32-bit OS: 850 MB or more
For 64-bit OS: 2 GB or more
Installation
Perform the following to install the supplied software.
Insert this card into the SD card slot on your computer, and open the 1
“Real-time Backup Utility” folder on this card in Windows Explorer.
Double-click “Startup_Menu.exe.”2
The startup menu appears.
Click the [Important Precautions] button.3
Be sure to read the important precautions and information on use that appear.
Click the [Install] button, and follow the instructions on the screen to install.

When installing the software, log into Windows as a user with ˎ
administrator privileges.
If you accidentally delete the installer on the SD card, visit the following ˎ

Precautions on Use
Removing this card while data backup is in progress will result in ˎ
malfunction. Always stop backup operations before removing the card.
(For details, refer to the explanation found in the [Important Precautions]
screen described in step 3 of the “Installation” procedure on the front side
of this document.)
Do not lose the password you configure when encrypting backup data. ˎ
If you forget the password, the password protection cannot be unlocked
by Sony.
Corrupted data cannot be backed up properly. ˎ
We recommend backing up and saving important data to multiple locations. ˎ
Please do not use or store this memory card in any environment ˎ
exceeding the range of specified operating environment described below.
Abuse or misuse will invalidate product warranty.
Sony shall not be responsible for any damage to or loss of data stored on
a computer or this card.
